Sheet Metal Calendering

Calendering is a special process for the production of metal profiles.

The sheet metal calendering process is done thanks to machines called calenders that have a series of rollers whose axes are parallel to each other. The metal sheet to be machined is inserted between the rollers and going to take a “circular path”. At the end of the process it is possible to get metal sheets with a conical or cylindrical shape. It depends on the type of semifinished product required.

Together with cutting, bending, welding and to the final operations as bordering and edging, calendering is one of the most common manufacturing processes that the metal sheets are subjected.

Biquadro is able to achieve accurate calendering processes of metals through the use of machines of the latest generation.
